Abstract

The current educational policy in Kazakhstan aims to achieve globalization, nationalization, and human capital development through education. Its main policy changes include trilingual education and the transformation of former teacher-centered teaching and learning practices towards more constructivist methods. Despite such optimistic aspirations, the implementation of these changes could result in unexpected outcomes.
