“One Belt One Road” and Central Asia: A New Trend in Internationalization of Higher Education?

Abstract

This commentary examines three dimensions of OBOR's educational impact: Chinese scholarship funding for Central Asian students, the expansion of Confucius Institutes, and the educational role of Xinjiang as China's northwestern frontier.
