Abstract
The study evaluates the effectiveness of using digitization tools in secondary education based on the interviews and surveys collected from teachers and directors of various schools in urban and rural areas of Kazakhstan. In general, the findings reveal that in the current period the government failed to ensure the successful implementation of digital tools into school curriculum. In particular, the estimates reveal that teachers find it inconvenient to use the digital tools both during their teaching and for the aim of keeping a record of marks, homeworks and schools rapports. The findings also identified that the main reasons for ineffectiveness of state digital program is computer illiteracy among teachers, poor provision of technical assistance in schools and lack of
Internet access.
