Abstract
An exact correspondence is demonstrated between a specific moving mirror trajectory in 1+1D flat spacetime and a spacetime model in 1+1D describing black hole formation from a null-shell collapse. It is shown that the Bogolubov coefficients connecting “in” and “out” states are identical in both cases and the exact expressions are provided. A generalization to (3+1)D black hole spacetimes is discussed.
