Abstract
Recently, there has been renewed interest in exploring the problem of women's underrepresentation in the leadership of different sectors of the country. Narrowing the gender gap in leadership is becoming a popular topic for investigation both in the international and Kazakhstani context. The reason for that is the existing statistics, which demonstrate that the percentage of women leaders and managers is significantly less compared to men leaders. Barriers and challenges that women encounter in their careers have been the focus of much investigation in the search for gender disparity in leadership. However, researchers have not treated women’s negative attitudes toward the development of women’s leadership in much detail.
