Abstract

The strength of the collection whether print or e-resources depends on how well we can cater to the needs of our users. Although we can’t provide a complete and very extensive collection, we can study the current resources so we can fully maximize what we have and pin-point the areas where we need to improve. This study will employ citation analysis to trace the student’s information needs and to monitor the types of sources they use whether they utilize the print and/or e-resources collection of the library. This is an attempt to review the journal titles referenced by the students in their graduate thesis. The librarians will verify the authoritativeness of the material versus the amount of suspected predatory journals included in the reference list. The study will also be the basis to improve and further develop the library’s e-resource collection.
