dc.description.abstract This paper reports the fabrication of fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) and intrinsic Fabry-Perot interferometers (IFPIs) directly inscribed on an Er-MgO-doped silica optical fiber using a femtosecond laser. The FBGs were written using a phase-mask method and the IFPIs via micromachining. Thermal sensitivity characterization revealed responses of approximately 9–10 pm/°C, indicating strong potential for high-temperature sensing and laser applications. en
