The study reports on the magnetic field geometry in the Central Molecular Zone (CMZ) of the Milky Way as observed by the balloon-borne submillimeter polarimeter PILOT. The results reveal that the magnetic field in the CMZ is largely organized and aligned with the Galactic plane, providing constraints on gas dynamics, star formation processes, and the role of magnetic fields in the inner Galaxy.en
