Postpartum depression (PPD) is recognized as the major public psychological health issue that affects 13% of women at postnatal period worldwide (O’Hara and Swain, 1996). Currently, there is a lack of information about the state of PPD in Kazakhstan, Central Asian country with population of 17.8 million. To bridge this gap, PPD prevalence and risk factors among women in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, were evaluated.en_US
