A newly developed optical reconfigurable circuit with binary decoders and memory device has been designed. The reconfigurable circuits change their configurations with control signals. There have been many optical reconfigurable circuits with ring resonators that replicated logic gates and other logic elements with unique interconnection design. Compared to them, our design involve less complexity and can be applied to various logic operations. In the study, the proposed design replicated 2-to-4 binary decoder and 2-to-4 line NAND binary decoder at same device with only 4 ring resonators, and further the design extended to 3x8 decoders with non-volatile memory elements. The design parameters of the circuit is chosen after intensive literature reviews and research experiments to create design with less losses and high switching speed of 10 Gbps and beyond. The mathematical dynamic modelling of the system with reconfigurable ring resonator found contradiction between optical filter quality and operation speed. The designed algorithm on Matlab found coupling coefficient of 0.15-0.2 at 5-10 um radius provide balance between high speed processing and Quality factor of the optical ring resonator. Overall, the design parameters were chosen and tested carefully.en_US
