Abstract
The recent pandemic situation around the globe has exposed limitations in
traditional virus detection methods, characterized by sluggishness and low
sensitivity. This project proposes optical fiber biosensors for viral protein
detection to overcome these challenges. The design process is based on
using the optic fiber sensors and testing their sensitivity abilities in different mediums. In theory, these biosensors offer high sensitivity, specificity,
and real-time capabilities, combining nanotechnology, biotechnology, and
optical engineering. Testing will validate their performance in real-world
applications. This innovation promises faster, more accurate virus detection,
impacting healthcare, food safety, and environmental monitoring. Therefore, the primary purpose of this paper is to propose the design of optic fiber sensors for the detection of viral viruses.
