Abstract
The "EduConnect" project addresses critical challenges in early childhood education and development within the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), particularly in Kazakhstan, by delivering a comprehensive digital platform. Parents often struggle with kindergarten enrollment, tracking extracurricular activities, and receiving real-time updates, relying on fragmented tools like Google Calendar and WhatsApp. This project introduces an all-in-one solution to streamline enrollment, enable real-time communication between parents and teachers, monitor children’s progress and schedules, and facilitate daily activity updates via posts. Developed using the Incremental Process Model, the team employed Flutter for the front-end, Node.js and Express.js for the backend, and PostgreSQL for data storage, with tools like GitHub and Figma enhancing collaboration and design. Key features include user authentication, role-based interfaces for parents, teachers, and organizations, real-time chat, a calendar, and a gallery. User testing with parents and teachers validated usability, yielding positive feedback on navigation, clarity, and performance, alongside suggestions for design and media upload improvements. This computing-based solution effectively bridges communication and organizational gaps, with potential future enhancements including UI/UX refinement, a child development tracker, and app store deployment.
