Abstract

Even though the trilingual policy and internationalization frameworks are initiated and supported by the political elite in Kazakhstan, there are some issues with the execution of English Medium Instruction (EMI) programs in the country. Students choosing to pursue their academic studies in fully operated EMI universities face diverse challenges as the curriculum of graduate programs at such institutions require deep analysis and synthesis skills in this foreign language, necessitating developed academic English (Singh, 2015).
