dc.description.abstractThis project details the creation of a voice-interactive, 3D-printed replica of Pixar’s WALL·E, capable of face recognition and animatronic movements. Using an open-source design, the team integrated a Raspberry Pi, Arduino, microphone array, and camera into a custom hardware/software system. The robot responds to offline voice commands and can identify and greet individuals. Over two semesters, the team assembled over 310 parts and developed the control software. The final robot met all project goals, showcasing a successful blend of robotics and AI in an engaging live demo.
