Aim: To promote best practice in the role and responsibilities of nurses in chemotherapy. Methods: This quality improvement initiative employs the JBI evidence implementation model anchored in JBI evidence-based healthcare as its conceptual framework. This model uses an audit and feedback process and the Getting Research into Practice (GRiP). Data were collected based on eleven criteria through surveys and observations of nurses’ practices and by reviewing hospital policies and patients’ medical records. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: The baseline and follow-up audits showed 100% compliance with criteria 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11, while criterion 4, which stated that “competence of the nurse who administers chemotherapy is assessed annually,” had 0% compliance. Barriers were identified, and several improvement strategies were proposed: 1) targeted education and 2) policy updates, which were planned and implemented from December 2024 to February 2025. Conclusion: The findings demonstrated high compliance with the evidence-based criteria, indicating that the department has integrated best practice in nurses' roles and responsibilities in chemotherapy.
