Abstract This article elaborates the numerical implementation of a novel, indirect field-oriented control (IFOC) for induction motor drive by wave-let discrete transform/fuzzy logic interface system unique combination. The feedback (speed) error signal is a mixed component of multiple low and high frequencies. Further, these signals are decomposed by the discrete wave-let transform (WT), then fuzzy logic (FL) generates the scaled gains for the proportional-integral (P-I) controller parameters. This unique combination improves the high precision speed control of induction motor during both transient as well as steady-state conditions. Numerical simulation model is implemented with proposed control scheme using Matlab/Simulink software and obtained results confirm the expectation.en_US
