dc.description.abstract | Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the global health problems and is the third leading cause of morbidity and second leading cause of mortality from cancer worldwide [1,2]. In the United States and European countries, the incidence is in the range of 20–40 per 100,000 population. In Asian countries, it varies widely (4.4 in India; 44.5 in Korea per 100,000) [1]. In one study that conducted CRC screening in one of the regions of Kazakhstan [3], the high number of CRC cases detected indicated the need for more screening programs.
