Black Hole – Moving Mirror II: Particle Creation

Abstract

This paper explores the time-dependent history of particle creation within the same moving mirror–black hole correspondence introduced in Paper I. For both a specific accelerating mirror trajectory in 1+1D flat spacetime and the formation of a black hole via null-shell collapse, the Bogolubov coefficients are identical and analytically tractable. Using wave-packet techniques, the authors compute the full particle creation evolution—capturing early-time non-thermal emission stemming from the collapse or initial acceleration and the transition to a Planckian (thermal) spectrum at late times. Energy flux in the mirror spacetime is also derived.
