Abstract

This project focuses on the Kazakh Soviet satirical works (prose and caricatures) of the 1930s, as represented by the Soviet magazine “Zhanga Ǎdebiet”. The goal of the study was to analyze the trends in the literature of that time period and highlight the main topics that the Kazakh Soviet writers chose to write about. The selected works are analyzed by its content. Overall, the writers had to align their works with the main ideals of Soviet Union propaganda.
