Abstract

This article examines the ethnolinguistic and cultural motivations behind horse color terminology in the Kazakh language. Rooted in the nomadic lifestyle, Kazakh herders traditionally identified and classified livestock not by number but by distinctive color patterns, leading to a rich lexicon of horse-related terms.
