Abstract:
Analysts in the field education state that Kazakhstani universities can‘t prepare graduates
who would meet the expectations of job-market. An investigation into employers‘ opinions regarding the currently existing issues in IT university education in Kazakhstan, as well as their understanding about the role of university serving as a public good, reveals a mismatch between what is demanded in the job-market and what universities teach to students. The study‘s participants showed their interest towards vocationalism in higher education.
