Bilayered Potassium Vanadate K0.5V2O5 as Superior Cathode Material for Na-Ion Batteries

Abstract

Bilayered potassium vanadate K0.5V2O5 was synthesized and investigated as a promising cathode material for sodium-ion batteries. Structural and electrochemical characterization showed that the layered framework provides high reversibility and capacity retention. The material demonstrated superior cycling stability and rate capability, outperforming many vanadium-based analogues. The results highlight K0.5V2O5 as a cost-effective and efficient cathode candidate for large-scale Na-ion energy storage applications.
