Abstract

The study maps how SARS-CoV-2 genetic clades evolved over time and space across the WHO European Region (data until 10 July 2020), comparing three nomenclature systems (GISAID, Nextstrain, cov-lineages.org). It highlights the critical role of real-time sequencing, data sharing, and standardized nomenclature to enable effective pan-European genomic surveillance during pandemics.,
