Sn-Doped Hematite Nanoparticles for Potential Photocatalytic Dye Degradation

Abstract

This study examines the effect of Sn doping on the photocatalytic performance of hematite (α‑Fe2O3) nanoparticles. Characterizations by XRD, TEM, and UV‑vis spectroscopy were conducted. Using Rhodamine B as a model organic dye, Sn‑doped hematite nanoparticles demonstrated enhanced photocatalytic activity compared to undoped hematite. Recyclability tests indicate that 3 mol% Sn‑doped nanoparticles are promising reusable photocatalysts for dye degradation applications.,
