dc.description.abstract The Capstone II project investi gates non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) assisted cognitive satellite terrestrial network which is practically limited by channel state informa tion mismatch, interference noises, imperfect successive interference cancellation as well as transceiver hardware impairments. Generalized coverage probability expressions for terrestrial NOMA end-users in are estimated taking into account the impact of constraints caused by inter ference temperature. Finally, obtained results are corroborated by Monte Carlo simulations and compared with the conventional orthogonal multiple access scheme to demonstrate the advantageous performance of the system network under consideration. Furthermore, the deteriorative impact of practical limitations are studied. en_US
