Abstract
Perovskite solar cells are hot topic among researchers due to its rapid growth in decades beginning from 3% to 25.5% nowadays, which are promising candidates for green energy application. Their various types are being investigated, my research based on all-inorganic Cs based PSC optimization of performance for practical applications.
The goal of my thesis is to research Cs based perovskite and optimize each layer of all-inorganic device in order to get high PCE, less hysteresis and degradation time. The first step of the strategy is to reach suitable low temperature for fabrication by depositing Cs based perovskite in glass and studying its properties. After optimizing the temperature, next step is replacing organic components in electron transport layer, hole transport layers to inorganic and making it as effective as organic PSC by investigating morphology, performance and aging time and making economically effective.
During the investigation various issues met, which affected to device’s performance factors. For instance additive to perovskite can impact for great morphology, however it shows bad performance because of ETL’s components. Another challenge is big hysteresis: PSC can show high PCE in forward scan, however reverse scan’s difference is huge. During investigation, most of them were solved, thus all inorganic PSC could reach 13.7% of PCE.
Through Scanning Electron Microscopy, Atomic Force Microscopy and X-ray diffraction Perovskite deposition results were obtained, which contained its morphology, phases and crystallinity. Device performance results of PSCs obtained through solar simulator, which indicated not only PCE, also short-circuit current density (Jsc), open-circuit voltage (Voc), and fill factor (FF). Besides, this work contains general overview of all-inorganic PSC, its operating principles, its structure and important factors and indicators of high performance, also general information about the equipment which were applied for obtaining results.
