Several large-scale accelerator facilities are operational or under construction in Korea, such as the Korea Multi-purpose Accelerator Complex (KOMAC), the Pohang Accelerator Laboratory X-ray Free Electron Laser (PAL-XFEL), and the Rare Isotope Science Project (RISP).
