Abstract:
The education system in Kazakhstan is experiencing fundamental changes, with teachers as the most significant change agents. Consequently, teachers’ professional learning through collaboration has attracted the growing attention of researchers, policy-makers, school administrators and teachers. Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools (NIS) created new approaches to teachers’ collaborative learning, requiring teachers to undergo dramatic changes for alignment with new professional development expectations.
