Abstract:
International research has shown that teachers play a crucial role in students’ success. In
recent years, Kazakhstan has implemented a range of reforms that aim to enhance teachers’ status and the quality of teaching in the country. Therefore, greater understanding of the characteristics that define effective teachers is needed to design teacher education initiatives that lead to improvement of education quality.
